And why exercise at all?
I am a physiotherapist, and I am well aware of the impact that movement has not only on the physical condition of our bodies but also on our psyche. And the psyche is definitely not in second place.
In today’s often hectic world, it’s important to master the art of stopping and releasing accumulated stress from daily activities. When we live at a fast pace for a long time, the body isn’t able to compensate for unhealthy habits enough, it loses strength, and illnesses develop. Often, when pressed for time, we accelerate even more. Ideally, the body should choose a completely opposite method. Slow down, take a deep breath, exhale, calm down, and get comfortable.
If we continue at our frantic pace, our body will gradually send us signals. The messages from our body are subtle at first, then harden as needed. Fatigue, mood swings, and a loss of appetite for life, nervousness, restlessness, and eventually pain can occur. Initially, these may be occasional pains that turn into chronic ones and culminate in illness, accident, or injury.
Follow the optimal path for your unique body.
